How to Keep Your Eye On the Ball when u bat in cricket?

i actaully play hardball, and tapeball cricket but when i bat my reaction is too slow , i dont understand where the ball is pitched, and sometimes when the yorker ball comes i try to play as a god length, i am misjuddging a ball a lot so guys please help me out ,
