How do I deal with a teacher that is always pessimistic?

No matter what I try to do or say this teacher always has something negative to say in response. And I'm not the only one who's noticed this...all of my other peers have realized this as well. Please help me do something to keep the atmosphere positive in the clroom, while subtly letting the teacher realize what she's doing so that she can change.
