Actually, in California, when you get arrested for a DUI and you come to a plea agreement, you sign a statment saying that you are aware that DUI's can cause death. And if you are drinking and driving and kill someone.. you will be charged with Vehicle manslaughter... You will serve a long sentence and your driving priviledge will be suspended forever.
