The NFC West is the weakest division in the NFL, but one team will make the playoffs and it is very competitive with two 4-4 teams, one 3-5 team, and one 2-6 team. Mike Singletary says the 49'ers will win the division, and they are only 2 games back. He might be right. A record of 8-8 or even 7-9 could win it.
