Should I do this to make new friends?

I'm active duty navy and we call that hazing. It's illegal in the navy. I don't think you should have to prove yourself to a bunch of girls just to be friends with them. I moved around a lot and I never ever had to make a fool out of myself to make friends. I wouldn't do it. I would be myself and if they wouldn't be friends with me, just because I wouldn't play their stupid little game, then who needs them? You shouldn't have to prove yourself just to gain friends. That's not what friendship is about.
