Is democratic politics going to change greatly when atheists are the majority?

At present, politicians in democratic nations use religion like a snake charmer uses his flute. They charm gullible religious people into thinking that voting for them is what their imaginary god wants them to do. Once atheists are the majority, the tactics politicians use now just won’t work because a) atheists aren’t gullible and b) they can’t be manipulated with references to an imaginary god. So will politicians in the future have to come up with different tactics to maintain their political appointments?
